Al Mustaqbal Music School

About Us

Al Mustaqbal Music School was founded in 2019 by Palestinian musician and music composer Samer Rashed, in partnership with Al Mustaqbal Academic School, to teach music to students aged 7 years and above. The school offers a British syllabus that includes music theory and practical learning, taught by academics as well as music performers, reinforcing the school’s belief in the importance of learning music from performers.

Al Mustaqbal Music School aspires to nurture the music talents of Palestinian children and youth, and work with them to expand their capabilities. In no time, parents will notice their children’s progress on the personal level as well; gaining skills such patience, perseverance, communication and discipline.

Al Mustaqbal Music School offers:

Music Theory: which teaches students skills such as music reading, melodic and rhythmic dictations, music writing and signing.
Practical Learning: which teaches students how to play the music instrument of their choice, in addition to learning pieces and repertoire, and instrument playing techniques.

Music Programmes

Students will be assessed prior to joining the music school, to determine the most suitable programme for them based on their level and age group.

Piano

Available for students 7 years and above. Annual academic system that follows the British ISoM curriculum. Programme includes 30 music theory classes and 30 practical classes throughout the academic year.

Guitar

Available for students 7 years and above. Annual academic system that follows the British ISoM curriculum. Programme includes 30 music theory classes and 30 practical classes throughout the academic year.

Drums

Available for students 7 years and above. Annual academic system that follows the British ISoM curriculum. Programme includes 30 music theory classes and 30 practical classes throughout the academic year.

Violin / Viola

Available for students 7 years and above. Annual academic system that follows the British ISoM curriculum. Programme includes 30 music theory classes and 30 practical classes throughout the academic year.

Oud

Available for students 7 years and above. Annual academic system that follows the British ISoM curriculum. Programme includes 30 music theory classes and 30 practical classes throughout the academic year.

Percussion

Available for students 7 years and above. Annual academic system that follows the British ISoM curriculum. Programme includes 30 music theory classes and 30 practical classes throughout the academic year.

International Accreditation

In 2023, Al Mustaqbal Music School received an international accreditation from the International School of Musicians (ISoM), becoming the only authorised representative for ISoM in Palestine.

ISoM is a government-backed digital education and examination provider in the performing and expressive arts, based in the United Kingdom. ISoM operates in 94 countries, delivering high quality certified assessments in the performing arts.

The music school students are assessed and examined based on ISoM examination requirements, by certified examiners from ISoM, and receive their accredited certificates when successfully completing their examinations. The accreditation also offers teachers and students the opportunity to participate in international seminars, in addition to gaining extra credit for their university applications.

Any music institution, or music student, or musician can contact Al Mustaqbal Music School if interested in taking the ISoM examinations, and obtaining an accredited certification from ISoM.
